Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Rockwell Group, the  tower’s distinctive silhouette morphs from its rectangular base to form an attenuated quatrefoil, maximizing panoramic views in all directions. With its entrance directly on the Hudson

Yards public square overlooking the majestic new design installation by Heatherwick, the tower occupies a prime position at the center of this exciting emerging neighborhood. 15 Hudson Yards is adjacent to the High Line, New York’s most dynamic city park, offering inspired living in the heart of New York City, and The Shed, New York’s forthcoming center for artistic invention.

75 Residences Sold

The First residential building in the massive Hudson Yards project on the far west side of Manhattan has sold more than a quarter of its units since sales began in mid-September. Seventy-five of 285 luxury residences in the Fifteen Hudson Yards condominium have sold so far for an average price of just under $5 million, co-developers Related Companies and Oxford Properties announced on Wednesday.

At the 88-story glass tower, condos, ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, start at $3.785 million and go up to $32 million. Buyers can customize their units by picking from five residence types and two interior design palettes, said Sherry Tobak, senior vice president of Related Sales. “The center of gravity in New York City is shifting and the west side is where New Yorkers want to spend their time and live,” said Jeff Blau, CEO at Related Companies, in the announcement. Hudson Yards Experience

Buyers for 15 Hudson Yards are sold on the megaproject-to-be, not just the building—the new shops, cultural elements, and parks are all due to open in a couple of years—a little imagination is required to envision the far west side of the future. This is where the Rockwell-designed sales center, “the Hudson Yards Experience Center,” comes in.

The idea is to show off the Hudson Yards “lifestyle,” which isn’t just about the condos; it’s also about the building’s amenities (including a fancy terrace, surrounded by a huge glass curtain wall, on the skyscraper’s uppermost floors), or the development’s myriad public offerings, or its expansive new park that connects to the High Line.
